JACK MCDONALD, Consultant, heads the land use and governmental consulting practice area at Rabideau Law. Mr. McDonald served the Town of Palm Beach for 16 years as an elected public official, serving three terms as Mayor and two terms as president of the Town Council; where he gained extensive land use and governmental policy experience. He is a resident of the Town and has practiced real estate law in Palm Beach for over 27 years.
He is a graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois and the Nova University School of Law. Mr. McDonald was selected Palm Beach County, Leading Man of the Year, in 1986 and is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County. He has served as Director/Treasurer of the Palm Beach Board of Realtors and was a founding member and Centennial President of the Palm Beach Flagler Rotary Club. He was awarded the Nova University Alumni Achievement Award in 1987.
In 2006, he formed and led a countywide coalition that was responsible for passage of the home rule amendment to the Palm Beach County Charter. Mr. McDonald was honored by the Palm Beach County League of Cities in 2008 as “Defender of Home Rule” and received the prestigious Kunkle Award for outstanding community service in 2011. He has served as an officer and member of several town civic organizations and has been honored by The Florida Bar for his pro bono work.
